Capital under arrest
A severe bomb blast has occurred today near the Red Fort in Delhi, where a large number of people got affected. Nearly 10 people have died. As per the latest updates, more than 30 people are injured. The bomb blast occurred in the evening when a large number of people were roaming in the streets near the Red Fort, including children, women, and senior citizens who were present there.
It was a nasty disaster; a large group of people got affected. The area has been cordoned off, and agencies are now investigating how the blast occurred and who are the people behind this serious and deadly act. Surely, some suspicious activity has occurred today in Delhi, which is a threat to our national security and the safety of the city, especially Delhi.
A large group of pedestrians who were present there witnessed the blast and have shared disturbing images on media platforms. We can see large vehicles have got damaged, and the citizens got injured and wounded due to the bomb blast. Police and investigating agencies are searching for the perpetrators, and surely the outcome will be known by morning. Delhi is horrified.
A large number of people in Delhi commute daily, and this serious incident has shaken the city. At this hard time, we, the citizens, should stand together and help the investigating agencies to search out the perpetrators. Those who lost their lives in this incident and their families need support. Surely, the government will find out the perpetrators and punish them.
People of Delhi are advised to stay inside, as there may be further incidents. This morning, there was news from Faridabad that approximately 2,900 kgs of explosives were recovered by the agencies, and a doctor has been arrested from his home with links to terrorist groups. People of Delhi should have patience and remain alert about their neighbours and people around them so that no such attack can occur again.
India is under a serious threat of terrorism. A few months back, similar activities occurred in Kashmir, and now in Delhi. These repeated activities are an attack on India’s security system and a direct attack on the Government of India. This is a challenge for the nation to tackle these issues and find out the perpetrators to punish them. India will not tolerate such incidents anymore. Innocent people are paying the price for the lapses in the security system.
